Save My Christian Marriage!

Christians all over the world are begging someone to help "save my marriage"! Just because we are christians doesn't make marriage easy. In fact it can make it even harder if we don't understand that our spouse is able to fall to temptation. Without a doubt you will need christian marriage help at some point!

The sad truth is that the divorce rate of christians is almost the same as that of others. What makes our marriages in need of saving? I believe it is the simple fact that we are human. We are all full of faults and able to hurt each other. That is why we all need to have our marriages saved.

What Causes Christian Marriage To Fail

Without a single doubt in my mind the one thing that will destroy any marriage is unforgiving! Remember the bible says love will cover a multitude of sin. That doesn't mean it will keep you from sin. It means when someone sins against you then you can forgive and yes even "forget".

You can never forget as though nothing happened of course. If your spouse has cheated on you or done something so horrible that it scared you for life those memories will not go away. They can however be dealt with through love. You can give your right of punishment away through love. That is what forgiveness is.

These are the steps to forgiveness:

Admit you were wronged
Admit you were hurt
Put the blame where it is due (sometimes we forget it takes two to tango)
Confront the one who wronged you if needed and able
When confronting do so simply to make them aware of what happened... not to lash out
Pray
Give to God the request for judgment
Remember you deserved hell for your own sins
Give time to trust again

These steps must be made to save your marriage when you have been wronged.

We get held up so easily at putting the blame where it is due. Blame is a cancer. It festers and destroys you until you move onto the next step. The longest step and hardest one though is giving God your request for judgment. We are people who want to see justice.

Maybe the best thing we could do when requesting justice would be to move onto remembering our own faults and understanding we can be tempted as well.

These simple steps can help save your christian marriage. You won't have to scream "SAVE MY MARRIAGE" anymore.
