Like it or not the role of the man in a relationship is to be the leader. He needs to be a Godly husband who is able to lead his family in the way they should go. This is not an easy task for any husband to meet. The truth is this task is going to require a lot of spiritual strength that most men do not seem to have these days. Have you ever wondered why:
The sad truth is that there are not many Godly husbands out there. If you are married to one then tell him every day how great he is and how much better he is than other men. If you are one I solute you sir! Godly character is not something you simply have, it is something you live! What it Means to be a Godly ManThe word Godly implies acting or being like God. Only a christian man can be a godly husband for a few reasons. Reason number one is that you act like your father. If you are not a child of God you will do the devils works like it or not. The second reason is that a christian husband is going to get his advice from the bible. The advice you find there means he will love his wife and want to do good only to her all of his days. He does not beat her and does not try to correct her by being harsh. God said it was His goodness that leads us to repentance and that is how a man should be to a wild wife. Being a Godly husband means you are going to act in a manor that shows real love. You will teach your children their value and the value of others. Your boy will grow to be prince charming who would never do harm to another except to save the weak. Your daughter will grow to be a modest woman who knows her beauty is on the inside and acts with respect to herself. How to be a Godly HusbandIn this day we live it may be the hardest thing to be a Godly husband. Temptation is all over and it is easier to run. Ask yourself some questions:
If the answers are not positive then it would be a good time to check yourself and your walk with God out. Godly husbands know this one truth... what you put in is what comes out. If you want your life to show Godly character then you need to put God in you. Reading the bible is a way to do this. As you read you will learn to believe. As you believe you will learn to act. As you act you will be showing your family an example of a Godly man. It is simple to be that Godly husband. All you have to do is take in as much of God as you can. He has never let anyone down and the greatest men that ever lived still live forever because they followed God. |
