For many a christian divorce may seem like the worst thing of all. Divorce and remarriage gets even harder when you are a christian. Divorced people need to understand what God says about this subject.
Divorce and remarriage is subject to a law God has set in place. Man may allow you to divorce and remarry for any reason. God however has a few rules on such.
Rules:
The former marriage must have only ended in adultery.
That is the only way you can have your divorce and remarriage.
Does this mean you are in adultery if you have already remarried?
Of course not. You can only commit adultery once. After that you are no longer attached to the other person and now attached to the new.
Divorce And Remarriage In A Nutshell
In short marriage is not to be divorced from for any reason other than death. This is because it is Gods way with us. He does not remove Himself from us for any reason. He forgives ALL sins. That includes us playing harlot. However in the same instance He
does make clear that when we play the harlot we separate ourselves from Him.
Therefore I believe the one who commits adultery has already left and is no
longer one with the original spouse. That makes the marriage null and void unless the one is reconciled with the other through forgiveness.
God is under no bond with us when we walk away from Him. Though He will forgive us and take us in if we choose to be forgiven. Which is what the blood of Jesus has allowed for. It includes past present and future sins.
