The marriage bed is the most overlooked topic when it comes to marriage in many christian homes. Sharing the Christian marriage bed with their spouse should be a great thing for each person to explore. Your marriage can only be strengthened when you commit to a great life in bed with your spouse.
The reason the marriage bed is so often missed out on is because of our strong desire to avoid sin. People tend to drill it into your head so hard that physical intimacy is wrong that they forget to tell you how great it can be in marriage. It is high time for us to understand that it was created by God!
Why Did God Create The Marriage Bed?
So many people in the past have made this out to be such a bad thing that christians think the only reason God created it was so that we could have children. They have made it into a sin to "lust" after your husband or wife. Before we can show you that is wrong we need to explain the word lust.
Lust is not simply a word denoting a strong sexual desire. The word actually means desiring something that is not yours and is unlawful for you to have.
A husband and wife already have each other than therefore can not lust after each other. Their passion is holy and sinless.
Proverbs 5:18-19 May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the
wife of your youth. A loving doe, a graceful deer may her breasts satisfy you
always, may you ever be captivated by her love.
It sounds to me that God wants us christians to desire our spouses body in a physical way (or lustfully as some would say). When it speaks of the woman's breasts it is not talking about her giving you children but rather physical pleasure through her body.
Although there are many questions people have about the marriage bed many are simply personal preference. There is no wrong way to enjoy each other in love. Just remember what love is "Real Love".

It can only be between you and your spouse only. Heb 13:4
